Narrabri Basketball Mixed and Men’s Teams

    Alrighty guys and girls,

Our first competitions for the year will be kicking off on Tuesday the 25th and Wednesday the 26th of February. Mixed Como on Tuesday's and men's/juniors on Wednesdays.

Cost is still the same. $90 for adults, $80 for under 18.
This cost includes one full year of registration(we run two competitions per year) and covers all costs such as lighting and equipment.

Please nominate your mixed and men's teams on here so that we have an idea of who is playing. That way we can have games that matter from week 1.

Our next committee meeting will be at the RSL this coming Monday the 3rd of February from 6pm. Feel free to come along if you have anything you wish to contribute.

Also, our next raffle night is coming up on February 7th. Please come along for an hour to help out. These raffles go a long way to maintaining our low prices and equipment.

What is an MPIO?

A Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) provides information about the rights, responsibilities and options available to an individual making a complaint in sport.

They can also inform and advise sport administrators and complaint handlers in Member Protection Policy for specific sports. MPIOs are impartial and don’t mediate or investigate complaints.

They may reside in a club, state association or national sports organisation and can also freelance.

Each club within Northern Inland Football is required to have a recognised MPIO.

Register for the MPIO Workshop here:

MPIO Workshop

The MPIO workshop consolidates what’s been learnt online and focuses on developing the skills needed to deal with people. All participants receive a manual.

Topics covered include:

•MPIO Roles and Responsibilities

•Listening and responding effectively

•Asking questions

•Recognising feelings

•Informed decision making

•Conflict of interest and impartiality

•Communication and promotion of MPIO

•Where to get help?

•Useful resources and contacts.

To become an MPIO and receive a Certificate of Recognition, participants must complete the online training and face-to-face workshop and register as a MPIO on the national database using both their online and workshop certification numbers.
